MAUNDY THURSDAY

Procesión del Jueves Santo

Procesión del Jueves Santo

Procesión del Jueves Santo

There is an amazing token of love and faith, Christian feeling and strict respect in the last procession of the Californian Brotherhood, the procession of the Silence and Holy Christ of Mineros. In the interior of the Church, and before the processions leaves, The Rules which will apply in the procession are read. Darkness and silence go through the streets of the city. The tinkling of the hachotes is the only rhythm which guides the penitents’ steps accompanied by Flamenco verses sung by fervent people accompanying Ecce Homo. The Holy Virgin of Hope arrives at Santa María, where the last Hail Mary of the Red Brotherhood takes place.
