Description: Solemn con-celebrated mass, chaired by the Bishop of Cartagena and Offering of “la Onza de Oro” by the Major of Cartagena, Ms. Pilar Barreiro Álvarez.

Description: Holy Week Opening Speech by Mr. Félix Faura Mateu. Appointment of Ms. María Dolores Soler Celdrán.

 

Place: Centro Cultural "Ramon Alonso Luzzy". Thursday 12'30 horas

Description: This ceremony meets missing people from the city throughout the year, but who come back for the processions.

 

Place: Caridad Church. “Dolores” Friday 17'15 horas

Description: The previous procession will go along this route: Ayuntamiento Square, Mayor, San Sebastian Square, Puerta de Murcia, Sagasta, Tolosa Latour, Carmen, Santa Florentina, Parque, Lopez Pinto Square, Serreta and Caridad Church.

 

Place: San Francisco Square. Holy Wednesday 17.45 hours

Description: Jesus’ judgement performance which usually concludes when Pilate washes his hands and throws some perfume to the public.

 

Place: Maundy Thursday 16'30 h.

Description: It is chaired by the Marrajos Brotherhood. It is a traditional ceremony of this Brotherhood where information is given about the activities carried out by the squads along the year. It is named after a typical sweet called “yema” which is given to the people after the ceremony.
